Interior Design: The person behind the desk. The 3 rules

Interior Design: The person behind the desk.

The 3 rules

Do you need the help of an expert to design or renovate your space?

If yes, find the suitable for you and let him / her do the job. (Rule No1)

Rule No 2

You have to decide which the spectrum of the work is. You want a space for your clients? Your status? Yourself? Let’s assume that it is about a working space.

What is the message you want to pass? Welcome but you are going to pay a lot…

Welcome I’m a sophisticated person, but you are going to pay a loooot….

you are going to pay accordingly

I’m a first class professional you are going to pay accordingly.

I’m not wealthy. My fee is reasonable

I’m not wealthy. My fee is reasonable, but I have good taste and I give attention to details.

If the Architect is about to create or renovate a living space. (your house, apartment, etc) then follow:

Rule NO 3

Be sure that the Designer will understand what you hate and what you love. Favorite colors, favorite textures, favorite woods and all. This way the Architect will combine and create the best for you to feel cozy / confident / safeYOURSELF, when the project finishes.

The Architect should be the one who will understand your needs give you the solution and check and supervise the constructions and be in the budget.

The designer should design for you and you (the client) but you have to be honest with your vision and desires. (just like going to the psychiatrist, or your hair salon).

Don’t interfere with all and don’t try to control him / her. This is the biggest mistake you could do.

That’s why you have to do your research thoroughly before you assign the study to the Interior Designer or Interior office. Assign to the one that you are sure that is the perfect match for you.
